Doula Laine
As a postnatal doula, I'm here to provide non-judgmental and evidence-based information, as well as emotional and physical support in the weeks and months after your baby's birth.
My emotional support includes being a listening ear for parents to air their concerns, or to share thoughts after a difficult time, as well as helping you to bask in the glow of oxytocin and the happiness of a positive birth experience.
Postnatal Doula Duties may include,
- Emotional support to parents by listening and offering encouragement.
 - Offers evidence-based information on baby care, feeding, and postpartum recovery.
 - Assists with household tasks such as laundry, meal preparation, and light cleaning.
 - Provides physical support for parents and newborns during feeding and other activities.
 - Helps parents establish a routine and adjust to their new roles.
 - Supports siblings in adjusting to the arrival of a new baby.
 - Offers resources and referrals to other professionals or services as needed.
 - Mothering of the Mother and her well being post birth.

If you need postnatal support during the first year, my hourly rate is £20ph within 10 miles of the BH9 postcode. I support in sessions of no less than 3 hours, although I can offer a more bespoke package of support.
Many families who I meet as an IBCLC form a connection with me, which then turns into me being a postnatal doula for the family in their home. It is so lovely that I can be there for you to support and guide you through these early days of parenting and beyond.
I have supported families with
- cluster feeding evenings
 - helping with the baby for a house move
 - twilight support package
 - triple feeding support with expressing your milk
 - support after a cesarean section
 - general support in your home.

Please note that as an IBCLC and Postnatal Doula, I keep clear boundaries between the two roles. While I'm considered a lay person as a doula, as an IBCLC, I provide support for the clinical management of lactation and must keep comprehensive records of my consultations. If you require a bespoke service that combines the two, please feel free to get in touch.
If you need postnatal support during the first year, my hourly rate is £20 within 10 miles of the BH9 postcode.
